SEFAR Architecture TENARA Fabric Provides Elegant Convertible Membrane Roof for Courtyard at Munich House of Artists
A retractable canopy made with SEFAR Architecture TENARA 4T40HF Fabric covers the inner courtyard of the Munich House of Artists, or Munchner Kunstlerhaus, in Munich, Germany. The canopy provides a sheltered outdoor area for events, in the case of bright sunlight or rain. When the weather is clear, the canopy retracts and is compactly stored, to ensure that the open-air character of the courtyard remains unchanged.

With an evenly-diffused light transmission of 38%, the TENARA Fabric canopy creates a cool shade beneath it, all while being UV-resistant, dirt repellent, and virtually maintenance free.

100 Market Place Cabanas in Portland Turn to SEFAR Interior Fabrics for Filtered Daylight with a Clean, Modern Look
The renovation of an interior atrium within 100 Market Place in Portland, OR, features SEFAR fabric. The system was called on to provide a low-profile membrane, with minimal hardware on two box frames, above two meeting cabanas that allows daylight to filter into the cabanas.

SEFAR's IL-80-OP interior fabric was chosen for the cabanas. It immediately won the client over for its filtering quality and clean look. Installed under high tension, the fabric provides a perfectly flat tensile membrane surface and was fabricated to fit into the corners of the frame, which allowed for perfect alignment and tensioning adjustments.

Headquarters of Belgian Construction Group Incorporates SEFAR Architecture VISION for Style and Sustainability
SEFAR Architecture VISION brings innovative shading to the new headquarters for the Van Roey construction group in Belgium. 220 square meters of vertical glass fins and 425 square meters of horizontal glass fins with the VISION fabric interlayer were installed across four levels of the building's facade. The shading system is not only functionally efficient, but also offers a high-end design with numerous color and shaping options.

The VISION fabric was specified in copper for the vertical fins and a mixture of chromium and aluminum for the horizontal fins. As a result, the building exterior is distinct and opaque from the outside, while remaining transparent from the inside.

Quiet Beauty: Acoustically Optimized Fabric Ceiling Systems
Beautiful light, and the comfort it provides the occupants of a space, is the most obvious benefit of a high performance lighting system. It is, without a doubt, the primary reason that architects and designers choose to work with the SEFAR LIGHTFRAME modular fabric ceiling system.

However, an equally important characteristic – unseen – must also be at work to improve the quality of the space. This characteristic is acoustic optimization. A lighting system's ability to improve acoustics must work in tandem with its aesthetics to provide ideal form and function.

As a result, SEFAR Architecture has introduced a new configuration of its SEFAR LIGHTFRAME illuminated modular fabric ceiling system that allows the system to produce an industry-leading Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) value up to .90.
