SEFAR Architecture TENARA Fabric Provides Sophisticated Convertible Membrane Roof for Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
A retractable canopy made with SEFAR Architecture TENARA 4T40HF Fabric covers the rooftop bar and grill at Beer Park in the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. The canopy provides a sheltered outdoor area for the 10,000-square-foot deck overlooking the Fountains of Bellagio. When the weather is clear, the canopy retracts and is compactly stored, to ensure that the open-air character of the deck remains unchanged.

With an evenly-diffused light transmission of 38%, the TENARA Fabric canopy creates a cool shade beneath it, all while being UV-resistant, dirt repellent, and virtually maintenance free.

SEFAR VISION Laminated in Expansive Glass Louver Façade on New Research Facility
SEFAR VISION fabric, laminated between 7,800 glass louvers, impressively graces the façade of a new biomedical research facility at 22 Windsor Street in Cambridge, MA.

Architect Toshiko Mori and her team specified a custom Copper color version of Pulp Studio’s Chromavision™, which uses SEFAR VISION fabric as its substrate. Pulp Studio was the glass laminator, using SentryGlas® from Kuraray America Inc. – amounting to more than 19,000 total square feet of glass.

Elevator Lobby in New Havenwood Office Park Illuminated by SEFAR LIGHTFRAME Modular Fabric Ceiling System
A SEFAR LIGHTFRAME illuminated modular fabric ceiling system lights the elevator lobby of the new Havenwood Office Park in Woodlands, TX.

The SEFAR LIGHTFRAME system was chosen for its sleek appearance, its high-quality light transmission, and its acoustic mitigation – as it is surrounded by noisy hard surfaces in the lobby. The modules feature SEFAR Architecture’s IA 85 OP PVDF acoustic fabric, which allows 85 percent light transmission. The light-technical and acoustic fabric provides echo absorption through its uncoated textile structure that results in a quiet and stylish office lobby.

Seeking Out New Technologies: Pulp Studio and SEFAR VISION
By: Bernard Lax – Founder and President, Pulp Studio
Pulp Studio was founded on the ideology of creating and pursuing the manufacturing of architectural glass products that offer both technical and decorative elements. Pulp Studio was one of the early pioneers of the decorative glass movement starting in 1994 and has always been on the cusp of recognizing new innovation.

Through it early years as a small studio Pulp has grown into one of the largest custom glass facilities in the country with just over 150,000 square feet of manufacturing space, and comprehensive glass processing that may not be found in any one place else in the North America.

As a company Pulp seeks out new technologies that come from all over the world. They identified the SEFAR VISION material over 8 years ago while traveling in Europe...
